heavy
to slow a sharp tongue

emails, texts, facebook posts, arguments, g-chats, sexts
today I found a draft caption to match your weathered face
skin like my beloved abuelita hot chocolate
to introduce you
an adult debut
perhaps it would be a picture of us
together instead
or a close up of your broken hand on my cold thigh
like a child’s hand on wet clay
either way
the world would have known you were mine
